Valley of the Stars, 2016 Washington Merlot

First encounter was a very full bodied nose. Burst of bright cherry and raspberry with spice.

The legs are heavy and unevenly spaced. The color is deep red.

It’s a dry wine but not overly dry.  I had it with a great T-Bone and cauliflower. The wine really enhances the flavors of the steak.  The wine has an amazingly balanced taste too. Sugars and fruits are right in the middle. The finish is fairly soft but lingers nicely.
