So first sniff of this awesomely labeled red wine shoes promise!
It has a great vanilla and oak notes. Even with a slightly stuffy nose I got little hint of fruit. But all the promise of a fun and tasty wine was dashed once actually tasting it.
First taste reminds me of vanilla water.
So I gave it a little air. (Twirled the glass)
That woke it up a bit. Brought out the oak but still pale when it came to the fruit.
Then I got out the big gun. The wine aerator!
Post aerator, balance nose and waaay more oak! Still pale in the finish but a change nevertheless.
Luckily it was only 4.99 at the Grocery Outlet in Arlington WA
