Thickkk legs on this one! Good burgundy red color which adds to the rich quality.
The nose is floral with violet and a little lilac. A little vanilla and pepper.
Mouth feel is jammy. A little earthiness in the taste. The Syrah grape ads body and complexity. It really held up to a smoked brisket and added sweetness to the meat. It’s got a green young taste too. It’s tannins also have a young raw quality in the finish which is smooth and balanced.
Overall I think this wine could sit a bit and should show some interesting qualities.
Lovely wine at 4.99 from Grocery Outlet!
