I love Portuguese wines. They are by glade my complete favorite!
Whenever we get the opportunity to buy them locally we do! This is a bottle we have had hanging around for a while. Most likely purchased at the Spanish Table which is now another business.
The legs are fairly heavy and even. The fruit, tannins and acid are amazingly well balanced. The nose is earthy and slightly floral. It’s incredibly balanced. There’s even a little licorice and plum.
It’s a nice dry wine with a little plum, earth and spice. It’s pretty amazing actually.
I will say that I don’t think we will likely find another any time soon but at 12.99 I think this was a bargain when you look at the overall enjoyment of this wine!!
